~ Rebecca Caudill website summary
The purpose of this blog is for Lincoln Jr. High students to post their opinions of this year's Rebecca Caudill nominees. This year's list has been a hot source for our school's silent reading this year, and we want every student's opinion on these books. As you read through this year's list, please share with your fellow classmates and peers what you thought of the text. Don't give away the plot, just let us know what was so great or not so hot about your read. Enjoy, and keep on reading!!!

This was the first book that I read from this year's Caudill list. I read it at the end of last school year. It's a sweet story that would be good for less advanced readers who like animals. Although I love animals, I am a more advanced reader, and I still enjoyed the story. An exotic African setting and a stong, independent protagonist (main character) make this book a heartwarming, interesting read.
I read this book last year and I loved it! This book is about how a girl's parents die in a house fire but she escapes with he life. Later she has a choice to go to an orphanage or go to her grandmothers. She never knew she had a gradmother, and he grandmother lived in Africa. When she gets there she hears of a legend of a White Giraffe. is the White Giraffe real? Read the book to find out.
Amazing as always
